Rebecca Perkins, MD

Dr. Rebecca Perkins is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. Her career is dedicated to reducing health disparities in cervical cancer. Her current research focuses on improving utilization of HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening guidelines. Dr. Perkins is currently working on national projects related to HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention with the American Cancer Society, CDC, HRSA, NCI, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She currently Co-Chairs the National HPV Vaccination Roundtable. She was Co-Chair and one of the lead authors of the 2019 ASCCP Risk-Based Management Consensus Guidelines. She co-chaired the President’s Cancer Panel Cervical Cancer Subcommittee and is currently Co-Chairing the Enduring Consensus Cervical Cancer Screening and Management Guidelines. She is also working with the US National Cancer Institute on a multi-country project related to cervical cancer prevention in resource-limited settings.
