
Kathy MacLaughlin, MD
Dr. Kathy MacLaughlin is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic with a passion for eliminating cervical cancer through HPV vaccination, cervical cancer screening and appropriate management of abnormal screening and surveillance results. She recently served as a subject matter expert for the NORC team’s work on the Cervical Cancer Moonshot Collaborative sponsored by HRSA’s Office of Women’s Health to reduce barriers to cervical cancer prevention, screening and treatment for underserved populations. She co-chaired the IT/EHR work group for the American Cancer Society Cervical Cancer Screening Initiative, supporting the transition to primary HPV screening, and currently co-chairs the ACS NRTCC Self-Collection workgroup. She also serves on a clinician advisory board supporting the CDC’s work in creating a clinician decision support tool for managing abnormal cervical cytology and HPV results.
